“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”

I have enjoyed counseling, playing with and learning from children, adolescents and their grown ups for over twenty years. As a mother and therapist, I understand the magic and the challenges of childhood, the roller coaster of adolescence and parenting and the not so magical struggles that children, teens and their families face. In the overwhelming confusion, we can lose sight of all the things we are doing right. Through gentleness, compassion and empathy, I can help you find the answers already inside of you, experience joy, strengthen your relationships and have fun while doing so.

I draw upon multiple creative approaches including play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and person centered practices to meet individuals of all ages where they are, achieve their goals and thrive in their relationships.

I have worked with a wide array of social, emotional and behavioral issues affecting children and adolescents including anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, depression, trauma and grief. I also assist adults with childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, body image issues and life transitions.

I received my master's degree from Florida State University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work Interns. I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and Chair for the First Coast Branch of the Florida Association for Play Therapy. I offer trainings on providing developmentally appropriate therapy for young children, parenting, and the impact of trauma on families as well as self-care for caregivers and mental health practitioners.

I offer daytime and evening appointments and look forward to working together with you to create wellbeing and delight in your life.
