“As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has--or ever will have--something inside that is unique to all time. It's our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression.”
– From The World According to Mister Rogers
I have been blessed to work with children, adolescents, and families for more than 20 years in both clinical and faith-based settings. As a wife and mother of three wonderful children, I understand the challenges that face both children and adults in this fast-paced world. By utilizing a multidimensional approach, the mind, body, and spirit can be transformed to facilitate healing on all levels.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University in 1998 and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000. I also hold certifications in Exposure and Response Prevention, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Child and Adolescent Anxiety Disorder Treatment and am an RYT 200 yoga practitioner.
I enjoy working with a variety of ages and I utilize a multi-faceted approach to tailor treatment to meet the needs of each unique individual, couple, and family. I have extensive experience implementing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, exposure therapy, and solution focused therapy and I specialize in the treatment of OCD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief, ADHD, and adjustments to life transitions or challenges.
I am available for both daytime and evening appointments and I look forward to speaking with you and beginning a journey toward healing, balance, peace, and well-being.
